Lori McCoy, portrait photographer, specializes in creating black and white and color portraits of infants, children and high school seniors. Lori works primarily with clients in Hendricks, Hamilton, Marion and Boone County however, she is available for travel within Indiana and throughout the surrounding states of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky.

It all started with a bright pink, 110 camera. It was a deluxe model with a flash built right in and a purple wrist strap. Everything in my little world was fair game, dolls, the cat, my younger sister. Little slices of life, frozen in time, portraits and snapshots are amoung our most valuable possesions. They serve to spark memories years later, long after the faces and lives have grown and changed.

Now I consider myself very fortunate to be able to make my living through portrait photography. My style shows that a portrait is not only about recording what a person looks like, but also recording who they are. Portraits with smiles, frowns, skinned up knees and cherished toys can be found throughout my work. My favorite images are often the ones that are the least traditional and I enjoy working with clients that want the ordinary turned in to the extrodinary.
