Prior to booking your portrait session, please take a moment to read the following information about the portrait creation process and policies. If you have any questions regarding the following information, please feel free to contact Lori.

The Portrait Consultation
As part of the custom portrait experience, Lori offers her clients a consultation prior to the portrait session. During this consultation, Lori will discuss your portrait goals and needs, determine the best session location and time, discuss the importance of proper clothing and accessory selection and answer any questions that you may have about the process. The portrait consultation typically lasts 30 - 45 minutes and based on your location, may take place in your home or by phone. Should you have any questions prior to or after the consultation, Lori will be happy to speak with you by phone or e-mail.

The Portrait Session
During the session, Lori creates an environment where everyone feels relaxed and can let their spirit shine. With her welcoming nature and easy going personality, clients often leave the session feeling as though they've known Lori for years. "Building that relationship is the first step towards creating a portrait that you will treasure for years. I genuinely want to get to know my subjects. A portrait is so much more than just a piece of paper with a picture on it. It's a memory, a touch stone for the future that tells your story. I am honored and humbled every time a client entrusts such an important process with me" Lori explains.

Lori works on location and offers longer sessions, typically lasting one and a half to two hours. When asked why she loves location photography, Lori offers this explanation. "We don't live our lives in a studio in front of a backdrop. I want to create your portrait where your heart is, where your life is. Your home, your child's favorite park, your backyard, places that you have a connection to. It's not only about the finished portrait, it's also about the journey we go through together to create it."

Your Portrait Order
The ordering appointment is typically scheduled for two to three weeks after your session. During this appointment, Lori will present the Session Collection album which contains twenty 5x7 finished original portraits mounted in an archival album. As you browse through the album, Lori will discuss with you how to select the portrait sizes that best fit your needs, possible wall grouping layouts and locations, custom items and portrait display ideas.

Your portrait order will be taken during the appointment and payment in full will be due at that time. Please encourage anyone who may be interested in purchasing portraits to attend this appointment. Your portrait order will be delivered in approximately three to four weeks after your order is processed. Custom items may take longer.

Policies
All images are the sole property of L.A. McCoy Photography and are protected by federal copyright laws.

Images may not be duplicated or reproduced in any manner.

While a potiental date may be discussed, that date will not be held until your portrait creation fee is received.

The portrait creation fee is non-refundable and is due in full within seven business days of booking your session.

A signed model release is required prior to the session.

Payment may be made by cash or check. Post dated checks are not accepted as valid payment.

In some instances, it may be necessary to alter the Ordering Appointment due to a clients location. This will be discussed during your Portrait Consultation.

Non-Sufficient Fund checks are subject to a $30 fee. Your remaining account balance must be paid with either cash or money order.

Reorders of $150 or higher are welcome following your initial order.

Additional charges may apply for some services.

A 48 hour notice is required for cancellation and rebooking. Your portrait creation fee will be applied to the reschedule date.

Your portrait creation fee will be forfeited if you fail to keep your appointment time.

Orders can not be cancelled or altered once placed.
